St. Erik's Eye Hospital

In the 1990s, Svenskt Tenn's owner, the Kjell and Märta Beijer foundation, furnished a room at St. Erik's Eye Hospital in Stockholm. In conjunction with the recent move to new premises in Hagastaden, our Interior Design Studio was commissioned to give new life to the room known as ‘Anders Wall’s Library’.

Chairs and armchairs were upholstered and accompanied by a variety of new textiles, lighting and accessories. A creative space was created where business, research and innovation can continue to evolve through conversations, studies and meetings.

The room was divided into four sections with seating areas adapted for privacy and concentration as well as conventions and social gatherings. Josef Frank's furniture and textiles were used as a distinct contrast to the modern and stripped-down design of the newly built property.
