The handwoven rag rug. It’s where craftsmanship and sustainability, timelessness and tradition come together. For many, it epitomises warmth and cosiness – interior design that withstands fleeting trends and the passage of time.
The rag rug, or double-weave rug, in many ways embodies the essence of Svenskt Tenn. In the spring of 2025, we will repurpose leftover fabrics and offcuts from the production of Josef Frank’s textiles to create a collection of rag rugs, designed to live on in new homes for generations to come.
The Frank in the Loom rug is inspired by Margit Thorén’s classic Schackruta rug, and it is produced in a limited, numbered edition.
