In conjunction with Svenskt Tenn’s 90th anniversary 2014 this inspirational magazine was published that described the company’s past and present. The Magazine paints a picture of Svenskt Tenn of today, balancing between being a commercial institution and a place where rich legacy is interweaved with the contemporary.
Journalist Annica Kvint is the editor of the magazine and Sandra Planeta of Planeta Design did the graphic design and art direction. Other contributors are writers Anita du Rietz, Petter Eklund, Kerstin Wickman and Christian Björk, stylist Mikael Beckman and decorator Karin Södergren. The magazine contains images taken by photographers Tobias Regell, Roland Persson and Emil Larsson, and illustrator Mats Gustafson.
Eighty percent of Svenskt Tenn’s collection consists of products that are of our own design. Josef Frank alone left behind 3,000 sketches and about 250 textile designs. Sometimes Svenskt Tenn produces products based on models from the archive, which contains sketches and designs from both Josef Frank and Estrid Ericson.
