Bright design in the dining room
Bright furniture takes centre stage in this dining room interior. Josef Frank’s colourful patterns take a back seat to make room for Cabinet 852, also known as the Flora Cabinet, and other furniture and accessories.
The Flora Cabinet
Cabinet 852, or the Flora Cabinet, is an iconic piece of furniture designed by Josef Frank in 1937. For the 2024 centenary year, it has been relaunched with 115 flora poster prints from Nordens Flora (1917-1922) showing a world of flowers and plants such as forget-me-nots, wild honeysuckle, linden and wood anemone, as well as ground elder, garden loosestrife, sloe, raspberries and much more. The cabinet is made and covered by cabinetmaker Anders Mattsson in Valdemarsvik, where each individual print is glued on by hand. In the dining room, the Flora Cabinet becomes a topic of conversation at the dinner party, while also being used to store linen napkins and placemats for the table setting.
Cabinet 852, also known as the Flora Cabinet, is exquisitely wallpapered with prints from Nordens Flora (Nordic Flora).
Hand-painted ceramic fruit platter
For several years, Svenskt Tenn has purchased hand-painted serving dishes and fruit bowls from Malaika Linens, often with floral, nature-inspired motifs. For the summer of 2024, two new dishes have been launched, one with blue flowers and foliage, and the other with a fanciful tree inspired by the surroundings of Fayoum in Egypt, where the dishes are made and painted by hand. The motifs are poetic and beautiful together with fruits such as plums and pears.
Decorative tableware items
Floral design returns to the table setting, with placemats in the colourful Träd i blom (Tree in bloom) pattern by Josef Frank. The pattern was designed in the late 1930s but will be printed for the very first time in summer 2024 as part of the launches from the archives during the Svenskt Tenn centenary year. Together with the Olympia drinking glasses, the Crystal Flora wine glasses and the Gryning bowl, they create a beautiful, framed setting on the table.

The Pomona Vase by Carina Seth Andersson was inspired by the shape of an apple, named after the goddess of fruits and gardens in Roman mythology.
Flowerpot in a summery colour
The Tolvekarna plant pot is a beloved classic in Svenskt Tenn's range, and it is now being launched in a pale green Celadon colour. The pot was designed by Erika Pekkari for Svenskt Tenn in 2011 and has since been produced in several different variants.
