    These cushions, designed by French architect and interior designer India Mahdavi, are hand embroidered by craftsmen in Kashmir and New Delhi, India. They are created using the local Ari technique. The square format is like a canvas, on which Mahdavi expresses a streak of joy through geometric or figurative shapes using the renowned chainstitch technique.
