The hand-painted baubles ‘Goda Ting’ (Good Things) evoke the look of traditional Swedish sweets served during Christmas. Designer and illustrator Maja Sten has drawn inspiration from the royal icing of gingerbread with colours taken from candy canes, lollipops, marzipan, marmalade jellies and cellophane-wrapped candies. Exclusively designed for Svenskt Tenn’s Christmas collection 2023.

Maja Sten

Maja Sten (f.1974) is an illustrator and designer. She studied at Konstfack before she moved to London and finished her studies at the Royal College of Art. After graduating she returned to Stockholm where she opened her studio. Her creations are often naive and colourful, mixing line engraving with her own personal mythology. Her main inspiration comes from folkart and Flora and Fauna.
