Festive Decorations
In this year’s holiday decorations, contemporary design meets traditional craftsmanship in a collection that combines playfulness with timeless elegance. The holiday season of 2025 takes its starting point in Josef Frank’s Poisons pattern, designed between 1943 and 1945, where vines, hops, and tobacco twist through decorative foliage. From this pattern, designers Susanna Barrett and Sam Wilde draw inspiration for colour palette, silhouette, and expression – from refined simplicity to maximalist richness in detail. Discover beautiful brass ornaments, decorative silver flowers to wrap around a napkin, and hand-painted glass baubles. Each decoration brings a sense of harmony and celebration to the home as it is adorned for the festive season.
Symbols of Light and Togetherness
For this year’s holidays at Svenskt Tenn, Susanna Barrett, Creative Director at the design studio The Studio, has created decorations that place symbolism at their heart. Hammered brass ornaments with graphic shapes gently let the spirit of the season unfold, while the moon-shaped tree topper evokes the return of light.
The hammered brass surface reflects the light with a soft, shimmering glow.
Susanna Barrett”The tree topper symbolises the Yule Moon – the moon that shines brightly across the dark winter sky and, according to tradition, marks the return of light after the darkest time of the year.”
The Ribbons That Tie Us Together
In Susanna Barrett’s collection, you’ll also find coloured glass baubles whose swirling stripes dance like silk ribbons – a gentle reminder of the ties that bind us together during the holidays. Each bauble is unique and hand-painted; an expression of the craftsmanship and playfulness that define the festive season at Svenskt Tenn.

A small, trumpet-playing angel in pewter takes centre stage as Svenskt Tenn’s Annual Ornament for 2025 – a symbol of joy, light, and festive celebration.
The idea of an annual ornament was introduced in 2024, inspired by the beautiful moulds preserved in Svenskt Tenn’s historical archives. Created in connection with the company’s centenary, it was envisioned as a recurring collector’s piece – a tribute to Svenskt Tenn’s rich heritage and enduring craftsmanship.
This year’s ornament, a charming angel shaped in pewter, can adorn the Christmas tree, catch the light in a window, or serve as a delicate accent on the festive table.

Poison of Eden
Sam Wilde returns to Svenskt Tenn with his third collection, Poison of Eden, consisting of handcrafted ornaments in brass and glass. The decorations are inspired by Josef Frank’s Poisons pattern, in which nature’s plants reveal a dual character – both deceptive and alluring. As in nature, the beauty of the collection lies in its contrasts, where darkness allows the light to emerge.

Sam Wilde”Light shines brighter in contrast to shadow – with the Poison of Eden decorations adorning the Christmas tree, the surrounding festive atmosphere grows even more radiant.”
The Wishing Tree
Carina Seth Andersson and Jakob Solgren Nordenskiöld’s dreamlike creation The Wishing Tree returns to Svenskt Tenn for the holidays. First launched in 2016, the design duo drew inspiration from Estrid Ericson’s classic decorative trees.
The Wishing Tree is crafted from hand-twisted brass wire, giving each piece a unique character. It can be complemented with the Wish ornament – and for every little charm placed in the tree, a wish may be made.
