The stunning mother-of pearl bottle opener is made entirely by hand, something that makes the execution of each shimmering fish unique. Together with the wine coaster and the shiny brass touches on the glasses, they add a little something extra to every table setting, both for everyday and special occasions.
The classic, big print Dixieland textile (named after the American south) adorns the table, and is one of the two map prints that Josef Frank created during his time in New York from 1943-1945. The print’s three main fields depict the Atlantic and its surrounding continents. Africa is portrayed filled with enormous sunflowers and the vastness of the Amazon is full of watermelons, while the oceans swell white foam onto the beaches. Josef Frank’s Dixieland fabric was first printed for Svenskt Tenn’s anniversary exhibition in 1974.
