Discover Svenskt Tenn’s selection of rugs online, with woven and hand-tufted rugs made of high quality wool and cotton, created by designers such as Josef Frank, Margit Thorén, Eva Schildt and Lars Nilsson. Josef Frank, who designed most of the rugs in Svenskt Tenn’s range, was personally not an advocate of hunting. To demonstrate this he designed a number of his rugs with different abstract motifs that were intended to replace genuine animal skins.

Choose the right rug
There are many different sizes and variations of rugs and sometimes it can be difficult to determine how big the rug should be to fit your interior. One piece of advice is to take the size of the room into account when determining the rug size in relation to the furniture. Count, for example with approximately 30-40 centimetres between the seating and coffee table when you calculate which rug you want in your living room or family room. The entire seating arrangement can also be placed on the rug. When it comes to the dining room table, calculate with approximately 70 extra centimetres around the table. Not only does a rug enhance the décor within a room and create a homey feeling, but it also absorbs sound.
