Festive vases and Pots

For the 2024 holiday season, we've gathered inspiring ideas and practical tips on how to arrange both large and small seasonal bouquets in a personal way, using timeless vases and pots from Svenskt Tenn’s range. By combining classic design with creativity, you can craft unique floral arrangements that enhance the festive atmosphere in your home.

Festive flowers in the pewter pot by Nils Fougstedt

In the pewter pot with relief designed by Nils Fougstedt in 1928, we've arranged festive flowers such as amaryllis and gerbera, using a flower frog to keep the blooms in place. "Paradiset" becomes a true decorative jewel in this setting, featuring beautiful depictions of people and animals in its design.

Peruvian Urn

Estrid Ericson’s idea for the large pewter urn came from a Peruvian pottery container from the late Chimu era (1150-1460), which was part of the Museum of Ethnography’s collection. This urn was in Svenskt Tenn’s collection back in 1925. Here illustrated by Cecilia Carlstedt.

Vase Jam Jar

Low bouquets are a perfect fit in the pewter Jam Jar vase, designed by Estrid Ericson. For the festive season, we choose flowers in a variety of red and pink hues, such as amaryllis, roses, and gerberas. The Jam jar is a true classic in Svenskt Tenn's range and, according to Estrid Ericson, one of the vases every home should have.

Tulips in Josef Frank’s Hortus pot.

Josef Frank’s Hortus pot in cast iron is the original in the Hortus series. It was designed in 1941, two years before the glass versions were produced for Svenskt Tenn’s spring exhibition in 1943. For the 2024 festive season, we’ve filled the pot with a large bouquet of rose-red tulips. A useful tip is to use an abundance of flowers and create large arrangements when using the Hortus as a vase. This way, you’ll achieve a beautiful floral display that feels both lavish and festive.

The classic Tolvekarna (Twelve oaks) pot in red is traditionally sold exclusively during the holiday season at Svenskt Tenn.

Pot Tolvekarna

In keeping with tradition, the Tolvekarna pot is now available in a seasonal red Christmas colour at Svenskt Tenn. By repotting your everyday houseplants and flowers into one of these red pots, you can easily create a festive atmosphere and add warmth to your interior.
