Red-green tones living room Svenskt Tenn

Red-green tones in the living room

During autumn, Svenskt Tenn’s living room is dressed in red and green tones in the form of patterned textiles, soft rugs and dazzling vegetation. Let the pitch black Dagg (Dewdrop) Vase take centre stage and constitute the contrast in the interior.

The flourishing textile details create harmony in the room together with the generous “Parsley and Thyme” rug, which is named after the flavorful spices that grow on the island of Capri in Italy. The green rug is handmade from a blend of wool, linen warp and naturally treated sheepskin. It is part of the “Capri” collection, which was created by the designer Lars Nilsson for Svenskt Tenn in the spring of 2018.

The modern design of the rug meets Svenskt Tenn’s historical design in the 974 mahogany table, which was designed by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn in 1938. Turned out legs with stylised paw feet and the H-shaped base were typical of Josef Frank’s designs. The table is also referred to as the "Tea Table”, since its form is inspired by tea tables of the 1700s, which often had a high-edged faience base.

The same typical paw feet that adorn the table can also be seen in Josef Frank’s Stool 2009, which was designed at the end of the 1940s. This elegant and practical stool, for which rattan or padded seating can be chosen, beautifully complements the suite in the living room.
