DECORATE THE LOUNGE LESS IS A BORE

Stools, books, armchairs and collectibles. There’s nothing wrong with mixing old and new, with combining different furniture styles, colours and patterns. Things that you like will automatically fuse to form a relaxing entity. That was Josef Frank's thoughts behind decorating. In these pictures we adhere to this philosophy, and since Svenskt Tenn's founder Estrid Ericson collected a variety of objects, a collector's everyday life is also depicted in a contemporary way.

At the centre stands the Oolong coffee table, an elaborated version of the side table with the same name, designed by Eva Schildt for Svenskt Tenn. The table's green colour and graceful lines add both playfulness and lightness to the interior.

A reading nook is best decorated with your favourite armchair, a stool to rest your feet on and a stack of books waiting to be read. Make yourself comfortable with a hot cup of tea and enjoy all the inspiring items around you.

One can never have to many books. Fill the bookshelf, choose the most beautiful covers for the coffee table and stack the rest in piles. If you want to delve even more into Josef Frank's ideas, interior design and architecture there are several books to choose from.
