Svenskt Tenn's marketing department has its workplace at Svenskt Tenn's headoffice and in the store on Strandvägen. The department works with all forms of communication and marketing regardless of channel and ranges from production, store design, digital marketing to PR and events.


The role

The Visual Merchandising Designer (VMD) at Svenskt Tenn is essential in translating the brand’s design philosophy into captivating store experiences. Collaborating closely with the Marketing and brand communication director and cross-functional teams, the VMD ensures a cohesive visual identity that reflects Svenskt Tenn’s balance of heritage, luxury, and innovation.

Positioned at the intersection of marketing and store design, the VMD is responsible for crafting visually engaging displays that support the company’s commercial objectives and solidify.

Svenskt Tenn as a premier design-focused brand. This includes interpreting visual briefs, creating digital and store concepts, and working with the development of exhibitions and installations.


Utilising digital tools, design software, and store planning expertise, the VMD designs immersive environments that highlight the brand’s heritage and foster a unique customer experience.

All work shall be done within the Svenskt Tenn’s brand profile and tone of voice. The position includes daily store checks and administration.

Responsibilites

  • Design and present the store as a luxurious, immersive environment with an inviting and commercially impactful product layout.
  • Develop Svenskt Tenn’s visual tone across digital and physical displays.
  • Lead the digital conceptualisation and visual presentation of store layouts, exhibitions, and special projects, including research, mood boards, and digital brainstorming.
  • Create 3D renderings, digital sketches, and detailed technical drawings to guide installations and ensure precise execution.
  • Conduct material research to enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of the store environment.
  • Work hands-on with installations in collaboration with the project manager to achieve seamless, impactful designs.
  • Train and guide store teams on maintaining visual standards and display consistency.
  • Plan and implement store displays, including vitrines, hotspots, and establish visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups, including photographic documentation of display areas.
  • Collaborate frequently with the Store Managers, Store Creators, Marketing, Web, and Buying Departments to align on strategic visual initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas/direction for exhibitions.
  • Always act as a Svenskt Tenn ambassador when working on shop floor and public area. Customers and visitors are always top priority.
  • On a daily basis keep the store clean and neat. Including daily “round” together with Store design team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education in Visual Merchandising, Interior Architecture, or related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and 3D rendering software
  • Strong skills in store design, digital concept development, and layout planning
