- About Svenskt Tenn
Svenskt Tenn has two-seater sofas, three-seat sofas and sofas in larger models for very generous spaces. The range also includes daybeds and sofas that are suitable for private homes as well as in public environments. Svenskt Tenn’s sofas combine comfort and elegance in an exceptional way.
The iconic Liljevalchs sofa from 1934 was not only the first sofa, but also one of the first furniture items that Josef Frank created for Svenskt Tenn. The sofa was first shown at the Liljevalchs art gallery, hence the name. Josef Frank wrote in a letter to Estrid Ericson that he had designed the large, generous proportions of the sofa as a protest to the prevailing functionalism and the tediousness of the Swedish Handicraft Association. The Liljevalchs sofa is still an important part of Svenskt Tenn’s classic furniture range today.
