Svenskt Tenn’s coffee tables are defined by timeless design and carefully selected materials such as walnut, elm root and mahogany. Characteristic features of many of Josef Frank’s coffee tables include rounded shapes, raised edges and legs with stylised paw feet. Living Room Tables in Classic Forms
Josef Frank had a fondness for the circular form and returned to it repeatedly – in both his architectural work and in mirrors and tables. Coffee Table 2139 combines the round shape with a raised edge, a detail characteristic of Frank’s design. In Coffee Table 1057, Frank explores a more organic form, giving the impression that the tabletop has been taken directly from nature and placed on a base. The rectangular Coffee Table 2073 was designed in 1949. After the Second World War, it frequently appeared in interior commissions for several Swedish embassies, which is why it is also known as the Diplomat Table. These pieces function equally well as a coffee table or a refined living room table.
