A sculptural, functional and elegant stool, designed exclusively for Svenskt Tenn by artist and designer Mimmi Blomqvist. The stool is both practical and beautiful with its soft, mushroom-like form. It is made of ash wood, with a weightiness and design that make it both stable and eye-catching. The stool can be placed as a sculpture next to the coffee table or used as a functional seat in the living room. The collection is based on the organic forms found in nature and the soft designs that Blomqvist encountered growing up. It is named after her paternal grandmother Sirkka.

Mimmi Blomqvist

Artist and designer Mimmi Blomqvist has a background as an illustrator. In 2022 she graduated with a master’s degree in Ceramics and Glass from Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design, and in recent years she has worked independently from her studio in Stockholm. As a designer, Blomqvist strives to create items beyond the expected, by combining everyday objects with a love for playful and sculptural forms.
