The Söndagsmorgon Wallpaper
Inspired by field books on herbs, flowers, flora, and fauna, Josef Frank created astonishingly imaginative pattern compositions. One such example is the design for Söndagsmorgon (Sunday Morning), in which he illustrates an enchanting arrangement of leaves, flowers, and grasses—enhanced by the presence of pink-tinted wood anemones.

Josef Frank always designed different kinds of prints for specific purposes. He never used fabric patterns for wallpapers or wallpaper patterns for fabrics, but made sure that each pattern had a unique use.
